I have enjoyed on a number of occasions having the opportunity to fly business or first class. Wow, what a cool feeling. I must admit their appeared to be a sense of empowerment from the service that was provided me. I really did like being pampered, in fact, I think I could really begin to like being served. But I also think their is a real danger if we do not keep in balance “the scales between serving and being served.” I believe we were created to serve God and mankind. How profound was this message to the Israelites?; In order to teach them the importance of serving God, God sent them into captivity serving the Babylonians. He went them to do this for 70 years. A 70-year training program in serving — now that is something to think about.

I have spent the greater part of my 25 years of vocation as a small business entrepreneur. The last 15 years have been spent as well as consultant for the C&MA and most recently as the International Director of a micro-finance charity I founded in Latin America. My experiences include surviving a plane crash in the jungles of Papua to being lost in the rain forest of Ecuador. My work has demanded my travel and involvement in a number of cultures and countries and I would describe my present situation as that of a third-culture-executive.
